This is the first in a series of five courses focused on the perioperative management of pain. This course provides a foundation in functional anatomy and physiology relevant to regional anesthesia and pain management, pain pathophysiology, neuromuscular functional assessment, and clinical pain assessment. Emphasis is placed on integrating anatomical and physiological principles with comprehensive patient assessment to identify pain mechanisms and inform the development of an evidence-based, individualized pain management plan.
