Academic Summary

The Nurse Anesthesia Educator Program is a one-year, post-doctoral certificate program delivered primarily online through three integrated didactic courses and three mentored practicum experiences. Students progressively develop competencies in teaching, learner assessment, curriculum development, leadership, scholarship, and professional practice across classroom, clinical, and simulation learning environments. Two on-campus conferences are required, and additional travel may be necessary to complete practicum requirements. Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates are awarded a Nurse Anesthesia Educator Program Certificate. The curriculum is aligned with the National League for Nursing (NLN) Core Competencies for Academic Nurse Educators and is designed to prepare graduates for academic nurse educator practice and eligibility for Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification, consistent with NLN requirements.
